Training programs for youths on the construction of Rain Water Harvesting System (2 Programmes)

Training programmes were conducted in two districts, namely Badulla and Monaragala, from 03 – 06 March 2022. The activity was organized in collaboration with the Lanka Rainwater Harvesting Forum (LRWHF), Sri Lanka. The objective was to train youths in water scares areas on the construction of rainwater harvesting systems and make their service readily available to the people in those areas to adopt this technology.

A total of 47 youths, 15 males and 32 females, were trained in masonry and plumbing and issued certificates at the end of the course.

Dr. S. Pathmarajah, Country Coordinator, Cap-Net Lanka, and Dr. (Ms) Tanuja Ariyananda, CEO, LRWHF, coordinated the programme.
