Training of Community Groups for WASH/Awareness and Skill Development Programme
A three-day residential workshop on TOT for WASH/Awareness and Skill Development at regional level was conducted from 7th to 9th February 2020 at NCM Lanka, Hatton in collaboration with World Vision Lanka (WVL). A total of 30 (22 Females and 8 Males) Community Based Health Care Workers (CHW) participated the programme. They were trained on strategies of community empowerment, personal and family sanitation practices, happy family, soft skill, non-communicable diseases and health promotion as the grassroots level of health workers of the Health Care System.
Dr. S. Pathmarajah (Country Coordinator) Coordinated the programme and Mr. H M P B Herath, Health Education Officer, Mr. Kosala Lakmal, Manager, Centre for Community Empowerment and Mr. P. Manjula Munasinghe served as Resource Persons. The three-day residential programme was concluded with all the participants came up with activity plans for community empowerment at village levels in their regions.
